Review on Bowers & Wilkins PI5 wireless headphones, white by Micha Chmielewski ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bad! I am not satisfied with the quality of the product.

Probably the most important disadvantage that puts an end to the expediency of buying these headphones is the spontaneous operation of the touch buttons at sub-zero temperatures. And these are not rare triggers - you just have to go to "frost" (even -1) and the buttons start to work until the headphones turn off by themselves. Attention, not a marriage! I contacted B&W support, where they honestly answered that the operation of the headphones is guaranteed only in the temperature range of 0-40 degrees Celsius. Those. they are not suitable for outdoor work in winter. At the same time, the official instructions indicate that they work at temperatures up to 40 degrees! How is it even possible to supply such a product to the 2022 market! ? We have half a year of winter! In general, the headphones returned to the store, explaining the situation. Thanks to the doctor, the money was returned without problems. By the way, they are aware of this trouble. Yes, I forgot to write a few words about the sound quality. Bass is just super for TWS headphones. Probably the best one I've ever had. Compared to the B&W PI3, there is obviously no transparency in the high range, the absence of a separate high-frequency radiator is felt. In general, so far my personal rating of wireless headphones in terms of sound quality is as follows: 1. B&W PI3 2. B&W PI5 3. Bose sound sport 4. Sony Extra Bass WI-XB400 5. Apple AirPods Pro

Pros
  • Very good sound quality. The headphones themselves are made of very high quality, it is pleasant to hold them in your hands. The shape itself is thought out, ideally suited to the structure of my ear.
Cons
  • Spontaneous operation of the touch buttons at sub-zero temperatures. Cheap, poor quality case. Weak radio module - loses connection with Apple devices. Very weak application, few settings, no way to turn off the touch buttons.
