Review on Bowers & Wilkins PI5 wireless headphones, white by Anastazja Ciftci ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect product for any user!

A 3-star rating seems unfair to me (and it is on many sites, including Amazon). Perhaps this is due to the fact that people do not quite correctly compare the request and expectations from the product. These headphones can hardly be called universal, they most likely will not be able to talk on the phone or video calls, there is poor noise reduction, although the form factor is convenient for me, my friends, with the small size of the ears, it was uncomfortable in them. And most importantly, not everyone can appreciate, or not everyone puts the sound quality in the first place. If you like the sound in firmware / Samsung and similar mass-market models, then it is better to make your choice in their direction. They are more popular, more versatile, cheaper, there are fewer compromises that you have to put up with. Also, in many reviews they write about a bad connection, in my experience this is not a problem, but nevertheless, one can judge the lack of predictability in quality. As a result, I'm not sure that I can definitely recommend them to everyone. I can recommend them if you are primarily buying headphones for listening to music, if you need high-quality sound, and at the same time you are not ready to pay $ 500+ for audiophile options, but at the same time, you must be prepared for some compromise.

Pros
  • Sound. “Good sound” is such a common phrase that it can be found in relation to both airpods and Chinese headphones for $15. But no, the sound here is really high quality, clear and balanced (the best sound in tws headphones that I could find) I will not paint about the sound range, medium / high, and so on. I note that in terms of sound for 3 months I did not find any weaknesses at all: classics, jazz, rock, electronic music sound great. Stable connection. I use an iPhone/iPad. Switching between devices is fast, there was never a loss of connection. Headphones are connected just as stably quickly and seamlessly. But, (probably I missed something about this), you must first insert the right earpiece, otherwise, one earpiece remains inactive. For me personally, they turned out to be ideally comfortable (but this is very individual, after all, it’s better to try them on first)
Cons
  • Weak noise reduction (it is, but the difference between the mode with noise reduction on / off is minimal). Talking on the phone (unfortunately, it is impossible to speak on the street from the word at all). The interlocutor will hear you only in the complete absence of ambient noise. Uninformative app. Minimum settings, there is no equalizer, it is impossible to see the remaining charge of the case (this can be recorded in a separate minus of the headphones). But in the application you can listen to the sounds of nature. Standard ear pads. Although initially the form factor of the headphones seemed very comfortable, after a long listening period, tangible discomfort appeared in the ears. Also, during physical activity, fixation in the ear weakened. The problem was completely solved by buying foam ear pads. I understand that this is all purely individual, but if you have similar problems, try changing the ear pads, namely foam, not silicone (although they are all only black) Perhaps this is only my problem (and my coordination), but I'm still not used to the control sensors
