I've never been a UGG fan because we live on a college campus and they are a popular uniform for college girls. That being said my wife has several pairs and they seem to be well made so I checked them out when I needed the slippers. I work from home and hate walking barefoot or ruining my socks by wearing them barefoot. I wanted a good pair of hard soled slippers because my office chair is higher with a footrest and they looked like they would do the job. When I opened the box I liked how it looked; The suede is even and the lining feels soft. The problem arose when I put them on. I usually wear a 12 or 13 (depending on width) so I went for 13 and they were uncomfortably small especially very tight in the forefoot but the length was perfect as sometimes the 13 is too long for me. Based on other reviews I decided to wear them for a while and see if the lining doesn't fall off. One of the other reviews I read says it takes a person to wear them for a month for the lining to dull, and there's no way I'm going to wear them that long after paying $100 for them. After about 30-60 minutes the slippers were comfortable and continue to be comfortable. They are usually worn on my feet in the morning and they are on my feet when I am home so I am very happy that they are so comfortable. The sole is also thick enough that I can do things like walk my dog or take out the trash without putting on real shoes. Now I'm a supporter of UGG.
