I bought it because I need it, but the problem is that sometimes I have to turn it off to watch a movie. It doesn't play anything on my USB stick, it actually freezes and I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work. The DVD player also looks used, it was dusty and looked like someone was picking it up piece by piece. This is a strange player. Even my daughter said the price they charge is not worth it and with the flaws I could have done better but I had no choice as it was the cheapest for my price range. :/Update: Ugh, how complicated can a DVD player be? I mean I put original discs in and you can't scroll through the main menu when there's a warning icon in the corner of the screen saying it can't. Subtitles aren't disabled, there's no choice, it's completely frustrating. I take the same discs and put them in family players and everything is fine, but on this player? Complications upon complications. I even try to play music and movies from the USB but it keeps freezing and I have to unplug and plug it back in. Plug the stick into other players around the house and you're good to go. I mean. come on boy Disappointing DVD player I've ever had. :(
