Definitely worth it for fine/fine hair

There is a learning curve but I got the hang of it quickly. I have fine, colored hair and use it on the lowest setting. The curls last all day. I don't use any styling products other than a heat spray before blow drying and curling. I like protection so I don't burn my scalp/fingers. Beeps will let you know when your curl is ready to be let loose.
