This part may take a little practice, but they work just like baby cloth diapers. Washing: I put them in the washing machine twice (warm water, Mrs. Myers soap, velcro) and everything worked perfectly. I rinsed the dirty ones under lukewarm water right after taking them off, left them in the bucket and then washed 2 at a time on occasion (I think this helped to avoid strong odors). Let them dry in the sun to get rid of residual odors.
