Good is cheap, you get five and they work so if one breaks you won't be so upset. The bad part of the tank is plastic with a cotton wick at the bottom. (For clarification, I call the cotton ball-like thing at the bottom of the plastic tank the wick and the other wick the thread-like wick in the match). It is very easy to insert a metal match so that match hits match. Wick into the container and thread a metal match while screwing. If you cross a metal match in a plastic tank, it will destroy the threads and thus the seal. When this happened to one of the two I was playing with, I decided to try and save the wick that is on the matchstick. This wick is supposed to be replaceable (they give you extra ones). All you have to do is pull the striker rod out of the match's metal tube with a pair of pliers. When I did this, the threaded end of the match came loose from the hollow tube, and the stem and wick never came out. At that point I said forget it and smashed the entire damaged unit. All of this to say they work, I'm not sure I'd want to rely on that particular constant chance in a survival situation. I think it's more of a novelty.
