We have just bought a new home and found that the previous owners had severely neglected this home. PARTICULARLY HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES. We're pretty sure they had an oven fire before moving in and everything is just shabby and dirty. Check out these drill brushes. Our stove was so bad I was scared to use it (still scared but for electrical reasons) but once we removed the element and turned off the power I used a small green brush and a drill to do the bottom of this one into the oven for 10 minutes. To the sides about 15 minutes because of an awkward angle. (I used a professional drill bit, not our little black and deck drill bit, but I honestly don't think it made much of a difference.) It wasn't just dirt and grease. I tried the self-cleaning function, manual brush, scraping. Nothing worked. The best part? I cleaned it with a drill brush with (drum roll) water and vinegar! I didn't even need harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorox. Life has changed. I can't wait to clean the tub!
