NOT STAINLESS STEEL! My ears are currently swollen and painful. Do not buy! I wouldn't give those stars if possible! They are exactly as pictured and were delivered to my home as expected. However, after putting them on and taking them off, I noticed that my ears were starting to get irritated. I wore them out of town last weekend and forgot to pack another pair. I just got home and rushed to take them off. My left ear was swollen, flaky, and had a small bloody tear. My ears have healed completely for many years and I have never had this reaction to any other plug/tunnel. I threw them straight into the trash. I'm not sure what metal they are actually made of, but with that kind of reaction, I would never recommend them. They even made my glands swell. Not a good product at all.
