I chose this to replace a handleless oiler that made it awkward (and sometimes slippery) to use. The handle on this one is big enough for a good grip. The sides are angled, which not only adds a little more style to the design, but also makes it easier to lay the lid on its side when using oil. It is heavy duty which makes it more durable and tougher to accidentally tip over. The only thing some might not like is that it only contains a standard American cube of butter, not the full 8 ounces. Block. It's not a problem for us - I'm cutting out 8 ounces right now. Cut in half and place half back in the fridge until needed. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy it again.
