Review on πŸ“€ Samsung DVD-E360 DVD Player: Sleek and Reliable in Black by Rick Vidaurri

Loud but works.

As already mentioned, the thing is very loud. When the drive starts spinning, it's incredibly loud. Once it stabilizes it settles down a bit, but if you plan on using this device as a music CD player like we did, it won't work if your ears are close. We use it for background music in our living/dining room and it works for that. If we had him in the TV room, he would always be there in the almost quiet moments of the film. The more expensive DVD player we have is absolutely silent like any I've ever had, so I have no idea why they couldn't make this one silent too. We only use it for music, apart from hissing and slow loading, it works well. As others have said, the remote control is too small. How much more does a standard size remote control cost? Just the price of half an ounce of plastic more as the inside stays the same. It would also be nice if the commonly used play button was in its own place, or at least not identical to all the other miniature buttons we'll never use. does the intended work. At any higher price I would return it. We have many Samsung products at home and in the office and we are happy with everything. It is a suprise. UPDATE AND DEATH NOTICE: 11/27/2014. How long has this unit been in operation, two weeks? By "in use" I mean two or three hours of use two or three times since purchase. Last night I plugged an MP3 player into a USB port, pressed the appropriate button on the remote control and it immediately started playing the MP3 player. Nice relaxing music for our Thanksgiving dinner. Worked about half an hour. Then it stopped playing. I tried restarting it but it kept playing the same tune. Simultaneously. . .The left channel was cut off for a while during MP3 playback. I didn't know if it was a DVD player, an MP3 player or a receiver/amplifier the Samsung was plugged into, so I tried the tuner. Both channels worked. I unplugged everything from the Samsung and plugged everything in, just like when first plugged in. like a complete reboot. There is no left channel. I then connected the portable CD player to the same RCA jacks on the receiver/amplifier that I used for the Samsung and both channels worked. Enough tested I think. So I have to revise my original rating to a start, but only because I have to leave one. I am very disappointed in Samsung for releasing this product. Like hey guys you appreciated it. Your reputation is at stake. I've bought a lot of Samsung electronics and home appliances, but after that I'm not so sure.
