Outstanding Pitcher - Kitchen and Dining

Media failed to load. I drink a lot of green tea - maybe 2-3 liters a day. I broke one of my regular pitchers (pictured) even though I filled the bottom with ice. That worked for a long time, but broke the floor this time. So I looked for borosilicate glass to avoid this problem. It also allows me to use filtered water without diluting it with unfiltered ice. This way, after research and experimentation, I can answer my own questions and possibly others. Suitable: It fits in my 2 liter bistro jug (check that out and put it on the stovetop. Note that it's rated 350F and burning stoves can top that, as can electric stovetops, so use a low to medium fire. I took it out of the fridge and rinsed the outside with hot water (as a precaution) for about 20 seconds, then brewed it directly on a flat stove. Worked great Thickness (Durability) This thing is engineered with the best thickness possible to It's flimsy to withstand temperature changes, but if you treat it like any other glass object you'll be fine what makes it loose or tight doesn't matter to me because I drink it faster than it matters Also, the handle doesn't get hot at all - mine didn't directly overheated (see photo).I will be replacing my regular jugs with these. For reference I have included a photo of it simmering and one of that n in the fridge next to the normal 2 liter jugs.
