The base is not designed to hold all the parts. Every time I take the trimmer out of the stand all 8 pieces fall off the stand. They fall off with the slightest movement. My previous trimmer didn't have a base so I had to keep all the parts in the box so I bought this one but the base holder is useless. The base holds the trimmer perfectly, but sometimes it won't charge even after it's fully placed on the stand, you have to shake it a bit before it actually starts charging. The trimmer itself is good and works fine for about 25 minutes before I'm done with my work and is versatile (trimming, shaving, nose trimming).
