Size doesn't fit

Bought a size up to make sure they fit during football season as you can't buy half sizes. They arrived and they were really stuck. I will have to buy another pair here soon. He usually wears a size 1 so I bought a size 2. I probably should have bought a size 3 instead. They are exactly the same as the photo except for the size.
