Does the job well and more

Most people buy these to expand their USB connection. I buy them for front panel wiring. 99% of motherboards now stick to the standard pinout for front panel indicators and buttons, a 5x4 pinout with only 4 pins actually used. This layout is identical to the internal USB connector. I use it to connect the front connector of the mainboard and then cleanly connect the individual cables at the back.
