I have ordered and returned more air travel carriers than I can count. It is nearly impossible to find a trunk that is 9 inches tall or less. I wanted one on wheels but gave up on it a long time ago. The first thing I liked about this airline when I saw it on Revain was that the description listed the sizing requirements of many of the most common airlines. Even SW Airlines, which strikes me as the strictest. This airline really meets those requirements .I took my 10# cat (Sam) from Kansas City to Florida on this airline's SW Airline and no one questioned it. It's small. Sam barely fit in it, but he was able to turn around in it once, which surprised me. This airline is bigger than the one sold by SW Airlines which is ridiculously small, not that comfortable and at a higher price. I really like the mesh boards for what they give and Sam was able to rest his head on the mesh to be able to turn around. It also gave him a great overview of everything that was going on. around him, which he seemed to enjoy. at the end of the flight. Understandable, since he couldn't walk all day. I have to say cleaning the carrier was easy. I pulled out the lining at the bottom of the stretcher and, after wiping off as much of the excrement as I could, washed it in the washing machine. It came out great. It would be more comfortable for a small cat but I will use it for all air travel in the future. However, I will not use it as a carrier for other transports. As for the need for wheels to get around the airport with a 10# cat, I used my smallest carry-on bag that came with 4 wheels and attached Sam's luggage rack to the rack with the strap that serves that purpose. It worked fine. The base of the trunk is slightly larger than the top of the luggage so I had to be careful to position Sam correctly, but other than that it was a perfectly manageable trail. I would recommend this airline if you need them for air travel. I haven't found any others that work.
