Doll Accessory Disappointment

I am very disappointed. The craftsmanship is fine. That was expected but I have to ask why they are listed as trousers but how long shorts fit. According to what pattern can you make such a mistake with the length of your pants?! As advertised, these garments were meant to fit 18-inch dolls, but they don't.
