After buying this camera and using it for a few weeks, here are my impressions. Image Excellent wide angle. Allows me to see the vast area of the property. The night vision function works well and allows you to see at a decent distance. The SD picture looks good, but when you switch to the HD display you get a lot of detail. (See test photo) Spotlight/Siren This camera is equipped with a LED spotlight. This light can easily be turned on and off in the app or activated while driving. The light is surprisingly bright and illuminates the immediate surroundings. Also the light can be set to flash which can draw a lot of attention to the area. The siren can also be activated by movement or by pressing a button in the app. It's quite noisy and alarms everyone in the area. Hear/Speak The camera picks up outside noise and sounds clear. You can easily hear the conversation in close proximity. The talk function works well. Everyone around will hear you. Application The AmcrestSmartHome application is clean and easy to use. The layout is intuitive and the buttons are responsive. Camera setup although this application is simple and fast. I had the camera up and running and visible in minutes. This is where you control all camera functions (listen/talk/light/siren/record etc.) The recording function works very well and I like the way you control it through the app. I didn't use the cloud recording feature, I used an SD card. You can easily find the viewed recorded film and audio material in the app. Also, you can quickly save images and videos to your device. The movement options work well too. Easy to set up and respond via the app. The set area will activate with whatever you program without any issues. In conclusion, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The camera is inexpensive and easy to use, but offers powerful features. I plan to order more for my property.
