tl;dr: These speakers are pretty damn beautiful and will blow your mind with the sound quality, but they have a few uncomfortable nuances that made me want to return them. So I used it as a PC. Speakers through optical for a month or so. The sound is strong and "garbage" I would say. Good dynamic range, good sound stage, powerful bass. But maybe too sharp bass, in a way there is not enough low frequencies. There's a certain V-shaped sonic signature to these things, and if that's not your pace then keep looking. However, they are great for hip-hop. But for games? I was frustrated playing Fallout because the bullet and explosion sound effects sounded bright and exciting, but the dialogue was mostly whisper in my ear. If I remember correctly there are too many around 60Hz (I brought them back for this reason and another). Again, this was a specific use case and could be used with an equalizer. Another complaint I have about these speakers is the power saving mode. God, power saving mode. POP. POP. Loud bang every time you turn it off. And I mean loud, it's noticeable. It's not like you're sitting there listening to the thin thump of your speakers. No, it's like, "POP, how do you like that gun with the cap on the other side of the room?" Dude, that was driving me nuts. But if that doesn't bother you, then sure. The sound quality of these speakers is phenomenal for the price and is only held back by tiny doubts.
