The first month I had a puppy I fed him grain free/real meat as the first ingredient but it wasn't a Blue Buffalo. It was a different brand that was a lot cheaper. My pup liked it, but I figured just because it's grain free and chicken was the first ingredient doesn't mean it's good quality. (It was seriously like $16 for a 15 pound bag). So I switched it to this Blue Buffalo and he LOVES it. Not only that, but as soon as I switched his food, I noticed that his fur became much softer and shinier. He gets so many compliments on it. This alone is proof enough that it is for the best for him. I'm willing to pay the price for my healthy puppy.
