I bought this as a spare press to keep in the office and take with me on a hike. At the time of writing this article, I have been using it daily for three weeks. The build quality is really nice. Everything fits together well and the finishes are solid and elegant. Thanks to the double walls, drinks stay hot for hours. Little heat is dissipated from the outside of the container through the air gap. The molded rubberized base sits comfortably on the table and dampens noise and heat conduction. The main benefit for me was the valve in the strainer that separates the used coffee grounds from the brewed coffee. This prevents over-extraction and a bad aftertaste, so you can enjoy your coffee in one container. I also like that I don't have to buy filters or other consumables. I got it working so I hand wash it. I usually rinse it and pump it with soapy water. The cap and reusable filter are unscrewed from the liner, the valve assembly is unscrewed from the filter for cleaning. Comes with a long mixing spoon.
