Overall impression: I am very satisfied with this product! I think this is a real steal for the price. Item shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. The enclosed "Cat Sanctuary" was assembled with other pillars and tiers packed within and around it. The materials are high quality and very durable. The carpet is more like a fur material covering the top of all platforms, the top and sides of the cat house, and the bottom of the cat house. Assembly: This cat tree is assembled with strong screws and an Allen key. it is intended. The assembly instructions are presented as a one page image which is very clear and easy to understand. I was very pleased and impressed with the fact that everything lined up exactly as it should. All screw holes were exactly there. No forcing or changing was required. It was easy to hand tighten each of the screws and then finish them off with a hex wrench. The top level can be on the right or left. I am 54 years old, officially blind since birth. I don't see or think in 3D and I'm terrible at putting things together. But I had no problems with it at all. If I can do it, so can you. Conclusion: A very well made, robust scratching post that is worth the money. This model costs 50% more than the current Revain price on the manufacturer's website. Can't comment on how it wears yet as I just put it together and my 11 lb Manx is taking a while to warm up. I hope I can post this information later.
