They are better than built-in fuses to protect additional accessories. All fuses are supplied from a common terminal. Everything is covered except for the power connection, which should also be covered for safety reasons. The device can be bolted to simplify additional wiring. I use two of these fuse boxes, one from the battery and one from an auxiliary circuit.
