Review on Charis Allure Lightweight Waterproof Windbreaker Women's Clothing for Coats, Jackets & Vests by Gina Cravalho

Very very dark - raincoats

Long hooded raincoat. Fabric 100% polyester, tightly woven. The outer shell is a dark, almost black shade of green. The inner lining is a single layer of striped polyester; no insulating layer. The hood is closed with a drawstring. There is a second drawstring at the waist. Metal zipper fastened on the left for the right hand. In addition to the main zip, there are zips on the front. There are 2 breast pockets with slanted slits, no inside pockets. The dresses were made in China. I think the shade of this coat is great for bird walks. I usually prefer to wear a very light and reflective raincoat. But when I show up on bird walks in my brightly colored raincoat, everyone else looks at me. I chose this coat because of the attractive shade of green shown in the product photo. However, the reality is much, much, much darker, almost black. Good for camouflage, but not for visibility. It's just not comfortable for me to walk through the city at night or on the side of the road in this coat, at least without a safety vest. I wear this coat in rainy weather. So far the longest I've worn has been about 1 hour in medium rain and it's held up well. The rain simply collects in beads, rolls off and doesn't get wet. Although the coat is lined, there is no insulation. So when it gets chilly, you need to wear extra layers underneath, e.g. B. Fleece lining, so choose your size accordingly. I usually wear t-shirts in size S/M. This medium sized coat fits me well with plenty of room for extra layers. Overall this coat holds up well in the rain but be aware that it is much darker than the photo shows.
