My five year old son is very sensitive about what shoes he will wear, most of the time he’d be barefoot if he could or wears crocs. However, we needed something more rugged for a month long, cross country camping trip. We have used this brands sneakers before for our outdoor adventures and they did great keeping his feet dry in rain and held up to his super rough play. So we went for these boots for our bigger adventure. He actually loved them and asked to wear them even on parts of the trip he didn’t need to. We hiked some moderate trials with lots of incline and rocks and boulders and he was so excited about the grip. He was climbing and really pushing the boots to their limit walking up steep rocks with ease. He also wore them every day for a week when we were in a dry, dusty environment to keep his feet from getting dirty and dry. No complaints and were only a little sweaty with running and play.
