Review on Level Up Development by Adam Gardner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The client is a small company that sells software to other companies.

Great UI / UX Design skills with extensive experience. Highly recommended! A: Here are some random thoughts from my personal experience: 1) Don't underestimate how long it will take. This was a huge project and we spent almost two months in the early stages trying to understand what kind of problem we had to solve before starting to think about solutions. It took us until the end of November 2018 to finalize the requirements, build the MVP and present it to the client. This was way too long to expect that you'll get this kind of feedback. 2) Be sure to ask questions during development and make sure to communicate them clearly to the client. You're doing something new and it's a big change. Don't assume that the client understands your business and knows what he wants (as if the entire market didn't know that already). If he does, ask him for clarification. If not, explain it in such a way that it becomes obvious why he should care. Ask him if he has any concerns, if he sees anything that could possibly go wrong. Even though it sounds weird, this is the only way to guarantee that the client is actually interested in the outcome of the project. 3) Remember that you won't ever truly finish the project.

Pros
  • Easy to use.
  • Flexible.
  • Has lots of features.
Cons
  • Does not have all of the functionality of other analytics tools.
  • Is not a replacement for those kinds of tools.
