I needed a lamp for a guest room and it had the added benefit of USB ports and a power outlet on the side like in a hotel. Pros: The base is pretty solid, the hue is really nice, vivid at mid to high levels. The aforementioned USB slots are very useful, and the "touch" capability can come in handy for those guests who just want to turn on the lights and not try to figure out where the switch is in the middle of the night. This is a beautiful lamp, even more beautiful in person. Cons: It looks like it's going to be a bit cumbersome due to the design of the base and little padding at the very bottom of the base. I wouldn't put this in a home with a noisy pet or small child simply because it doesn't feel super grounded. I will update if I change my mind on this aspect. Another cheat is to mess around with the assembly because if you don't get it right the lamp won't turn on.
