Revainrating 4 out of 5

To this day I never thought I could say anything bad about this scale.

See the image they use for this article that shows you how waterproof the scale is by seeing the faucet running over it? Yeah ok don't do it I would not recommend that. I've loved the scale ever since I got it. That's a lot more than the last scale I had. It has multiple units of measurement, is large enough to hold different sized plates and bowls, is legible for many visually impaired, and looks good. But seriously, I bought this item because my last scale died trying to clean it. This is dealing with plates of food, sometimes with food on them. They are used in the kitchen. If you can't do what is shown in this picture, keeping the scale clean is going to be a serious problem, especially if you use it multiple times a day like I do. I used it almost exactly as shown in the picture. I held it under warm running water for a few seconds and then took it out. I then cleaned the entire top of the scale, just the top, with a warm soapy cloth until clean, then I put it back under the tap and rinsed it, ONLY the top, until the soap was gone, then I did they taken out. out of the water and I dried it. I didn't load it. I didn't turn around. Now, as we speak, my freezer scale is trying to mitigate the fact that the tiniest drop of water that got into this thing was enough for the weight to keep growing, increasing, and even peaking as it turned on. although there is nothing on it. And you can't just smack the container, because as soon as you put something on it, the weight will come up, and then it'll immediately start growing, and again and again and again, making you realize you're not you can trust . the weight you received in the first place. Waterproofing is very important, so I ordered this one - and it's not. Update: It took about a week, but what worked in the end was freezing it and then wiping all the condensation, refreezing, wiping again. Now it's the scale again but I like it for other reasons like the size and the many different units of measurement and the ease of reading, but I've never held it under the tap again. I'm afraid to do it.
