I needed fine tipped chalk markers to write on our erasable calendar and came across this set. The reviews were pretty good so I gave it a try. Overall these are good chalk markers but the color quality could be better. The silver is not visible at all and only 3 of them have a metallic finish (gold, orange and bronze). Unfortunately, orange and bronze are almost identical. I have to walk over the pink color a few times for it to appear. Other than that the fine tip is perfect and doesn't spoil like other brands I've tried and the writing sticks REALLY well. It doesn't come off without a damp cloth, which is great for little hands touching it regularly. I could try a number of pastels, hopefully they look better on black than this one. They are good but not fabulous. Just as. Although they serve their purpose.
