I bought this for my son who is on the autism spectrum and has a lot of sensory issues. When his teacher suggested the beanbag, I had my doubts. I remember the old bean bag chairs I had as a kid with a weird plastic cover filled with styrofoam. These bean bags were moderately comfortable for a couple of weeks at most, and then flattened out like a pancake. It's very different. Outside is very soft but durable microfiber. The zipper opening is extra large and can therefore be easily filled with the inner bag. I really like that I can remove the cover and wash it when needed without having to worry about filling it. My "boy" is 15 years old and almost 6ft tall so I was pleasantly surprised at the size. It fits him and his dog comfortably. The filling is quite soft but holds its weight very well. So far it has come back like new every time I have used it.
