. I liked the idea of an ice ax with its own sheaf. Safe and convenient, right? When I received mine, I quickly twisted end to end to remove the cap. zero movement. I'm pretty strong, but sometimes bottles have caps that are difficult to remove. So I hit the handle and hinge and tried again. Nothing. I donned a non-slip rubber glove on one hand and held the bottom half of the handle with super non-slip film to open the bottle. No, not a hint of movement. What else to try? I took a pair of pliers and a pipe wrench, gripped both ends with death grip, twisted and pulled. No trace of looseness. In frustration, I squeezed both ends tightly with my tools until the tree was practically destroyed as both tools were locked tightly into the tree from the outside. Then I pulled and twisted some more. Nothing. This thing behaved exactly as if it had been carved from a single 7 inch piece of wood. That's it. Somewhere in this thing, probably an ice pick. But whoever assembled it essentially welded it together with a combination of Adamantium and Vibranium. I can't open it, at least not without ripping it apart with power tools. Nice design haha
