I had never tried a weighted blanket before and wasn't sure I would like it but I will. The weight is kind of comforting, and it also presses around you and presses every other bedding against your body to wrap you in warmth. This takes a bit of getting used to as you tend to roll onto the bedding rolled around you as you move, but it's easy enough to adjust and lift a bit or gently slip underneath. I chose £15 for the queen bed, not sure I would like anything heavier. It offers enough safe weight without feeling smothered or claustrophobic. Maybe for 2 people on a king it would be better if the weight was more but that suits me. The lambskin fabric on one side is soft and warm, the more velvety plush on the other is also very pleasant to the touch and I had no problem with any floating granules spurting out anywhere. One thing to keep in mind, a 60" x 80" queen-size comforter is exactly the same size as the top of the mattress, so there's no hangover on the sides or bottom. Accordingly, you will likely need another regular duvet or 2 underneath with a bit more width and length to avoid gaps and cold spots. I guess this is to prevent the duvet's weight from hanging down the sides and pulling it off the bed, but just a few inches would be desirable - after all, a 4 or 5 inch hangover border can relieve stress. However, I really like it and plan to use it this winter - good product!
