Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Sony ICD-BX112: Next-Level Digital Flash Voice Recorder for Crisp and Clear Recordings by Joshua Nation

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ten times more memory, but a little more than before, and no cables to connect to a PC.

I bought two Sony recorders in 2005 and 2007. I gave one and gave the other to the washing machine. They were identical and had 34 hours of recording. Basically they had the same features as this new model, although the new model is easier to navigate. The older model was $60, I bought this one for $32. And although the new model is only 15% larger, it packs 10 times more memory. But who needs 534 hours of storage? That's 22 days and 6 hours of recording! When you have tens (or hundreds) of hours of recording, it's worth saving. So you'd like to save them to your hard drive, right? However, the old version came with this cable to connect to a PC, but the new one doesn't. With the old model, I backed up about every year as I neared the 34 hour mark. I'm very happy to have a decent recorder for almost half the price of the old model, but I'd rather pay the extra $5 and have the cable with me than buy it separately. I would also prefer a storage of just under 534 hours and keep it as small as possible since it shares a bed with my wallet. Nevertheless, I would recommend it. Sony is still good.
