Review on 🦕 Melissa & Doug Dinosaur Chunky Puzzle: Roaring Fun for Little Hands! by Brandon Wynen

I've been looking for good jigsaw puzzles for children for a long time. As a development worker, I work with infants and young children with special needs. I'm looking for simple jigsaw puzzles with pieces that toddlers can easily put together. I've always liked Melissa & Doug jigsaw puzzles because they are always very well made and mostly very appropriate for my age. I need strong and well held jigsaw puzzles. I throw them in my pockets and in my trunk so they get a good rub down. When this puzzle arrived I was over the moon. Here's what I really like about this puzzle and its use for toddlers: - The puzzle has bright colors. It's great when used with young children to keep their attention. - When you take out a puzzle piece, there is the same picture underneath. This will help the little ones understand where the piece goes. - The pieces are thick and chunky, so while they don't have small handles on top, they can be taken in and out with small, mismatched hands. - The entire part of the puzzle is painted in such a way that the raw wood is not visible. - Animals have the colors of real animals. I have too many puzzles and children's books with animals of all crazy colors. At this age it is important that the animals are as realistic as possible. The animals in this puzzle are painted in the same colors as the real ones (the pig is pink, the sheep is white, etc.). I use it very often and the kids seem to love it a lot. Not only can I use it to work on the fine motor skills associated with putting puzzle pieces together, but also for cognitive animal matching, language skills for learning animal sounds, names and colors. There is so much I can do with this puzzle with very young children and those with delays.
