Review on PenSee Classic Black Paisley Woven: Timeless Elegance in Pen Form by Tim Roby

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice "Starter " bow tie

I bought 5 of these PenSee ties as my first bow tie. I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to learn how to tie them (it's easy) and if I really like wearing bow ties (I LOVE them) so I figured I could cheap ($5) get along by getting a few for a change. and still wouldn't be many if I didn't like them. Well, it didn't take me long to get used to bow ties and I really like the look of them. I find this tie too feminine and rarely wear it (matching the star with my other PenSee ties), but here's my review of PenSee ties in general: These ties wear out a little quicker than I'd like, but when worn with To be worn with a bow tie almost every day (4-5 days a week, sometimes I still wear a regular tie) these do pretty well for the $5 I paid. I cut off some loose threads where one started to snap and they look a bit more worn than my $30-50 ties I've bought since, but they're all still fine and I'm probably the only one , who notices . they start to wear. With regular wear I estimate they will last 4-8 months but for $5 a piece just to see if I like them I think they are more than good. I am happy with the purchase and will likely buy from them again in the future. Edit January 2017: Although they wear more than most of my more expensive bow ties and I don't wear them as often as my prettier ties, these Pensee ties still feel and look good. . I see they are now selling for $20, which is a little more than the $5 they were selling for when I bought them. Based on my experience with them, even at the current price, I think they are a good deal and I would buy them again.
