Review on πŸ“š ZAGG Rugged Book - Magnetic-Hinged Keyboard and Case for iPad Pro 10.5 inch, 10.2” iPad, iPad Air 3 - Black by Aaron Fowler

Great product idea but mismatched in some areas

This is a good concept from a good brand. However, there are some design features that you should consider before buying: 1) The magnetic hinge does not hold well in the tablet when opening and closing. It holds up great if you don't adjust the screen angle. 2) The pen slot is really only useful for Apple Pencil, not a deal breaker. 3) Because this is a "permanent" case, the keys are not as responsive as most modern chiclet keys. 4) Finally, little attention has been paid to rubberized port covers. These are hard cases that prevent damage if dropped, but are difficult to remove due to pegs. GOOD RATING: The case is solid and protects the tablet well. ZAGG products (when they work) are still of higher quality than others and generally last as long as my tablet. My experience: I had to order 2 different replacement devices before I got one with a working keyboard. The ones I ordered from the ZAGG Revain store, although they look new, are definitely defective. After ordering a replacement directly from ZAGG (and waiting a few weeks for it) it worked perfectly and I'm using it to write this review now.
