Review on Edushape Marbulous Marble Run Set: Exciting Pieces for Endless Fun! by Eddie Gordon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Much more fun for a 4 year old than expected but there are some issues

Firstly the good thing is that they turned out to be much more popular and appealing to my 4 year old than I expected . They immediately took first place among toys and stayed there for several weeks. I think they are both funny and educational and even more than I expected. It's fun to copy the designs that come with it, and it's obviously very easy to create your own. On the other hand, sometimes the pieces are very difficult to put together and sometimes they don't fit together well, leading to breakage. and an embarrassing failure. Basically, the tolerances in plastic molds do not match Lego. In general, assembled structures are often very unstable, so it would be better to have larger and/or heavier "baseplates". The plays are also not very clever and not as interesting as they could be. For example, the "bell" rail doesn't actually ring and the spinner on the spinner rail doesn't stay connected, so it keeps falling out AND getting stuck when lots of balls arrive together. The "Switch" blocker segment is what my child enjoys the most, which surprises me too! Overall it's pretty good and I recommend it, but it could be better without increasing the cost to the manufacturer.

Pros
  • A year old test
Cons
  • I don't remember
