ordering a second pack of 6 pieces. My new home builder made a lot of crap - I thought it was ballasts when they all started to blow up at once a few months after I moved in. 2-3 months lifetime for a fluorescent lamp? Not in my experience. My rush was to go to Lowes and pay $9+ for a lightbulb until I found it. They work as they should. No problems for almost a year since first purchase/installation. Now I'm dealing with the 2nd wave of the construction lightbulb. The fun never ends. I've never had the opportunity to use these mini fluorescent lights. My many years of experience is with large pipes. The larger ones will last 3-4 years or more depending on usage. These smaller bulbs seem to glow just as well, and as I mentioned, I'm entering my second year with these bulbs. The time will show.
