I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. So I want to start with the negative. It's a bit small for use with anything other than a cellphone. In normal white light mode (with or without white diffuser) it has a slightly pink tint. The buttons are just a little hard to press - you actually have to press them slightly past the "click" point. That's all. And this is all actually 100% normal and I'm going to explain why. Let's get down to business. First, this little one is BRIGHT for its size. The light doesn't penetrate very far into the true darkness (you won't get perfect shots at midnight), but if you're in a situation where you usually take dark selfies, or if you just want to lighten the foreground a bit, this is the right tool. In fact, it's bright enough that I used it on its lowest or second-lowest setting - anything higher illuminates the foreground more than I'd like. Second, it can be recharged, which is awesome. Most small LEDs designed to be mounted on the camera use batteries that drain quickly. I leave it plugged in overnight (I don't actually know how long it takes to charge from scratch, I never run out of charge) and I'm ready to go. As I mentioned before, it's a bit small for everything. using more than one cell phone. But it appears to be intended for use with a mobile phone, so. It is in order? I don't know, I use it with my beastgrip for selfies and social media videos and it mounts great and lights up everything I need - if I need more light I use more light, this thing is NOT a replacement for larger thought the lights. It's AWESOME for selfies. In addition, it is super duper portable. It's the size of a quick release plate which is really small - I can't take it anywhere, it will never get in the way, there will never be too much of it, it fits in any pocket/bag. /bag/etc, which is great. The pink tint is likely the result of a very slight over-correction of the green tint that white LEDs develop after heavy use. So by and large it's probably going to be downright white, and until then the biggest downside is that the food and skin will look lighter than it really is. In addition, the orange and blue filters precisely heat or cool the color temperature in a fairly natural way. They look pretty extreme, but if you've used photo/video gels before, you'll find that they work exactly as you would expect. Button pressing is my biggest gripe - I want the buttons to be responsive. So when I feel a click, I want it to be 100% sure that a key press is being acknowledged. I found that I had to press down too hard, which really annoys me since I have big hands and big, blunt fingers. The buttons are very small so I actually have to use my own thumbnails which are awkward to press hard on the nail. But I'd rather it not hit me in my pocket or camera bag. I wish it was easier to press the buttons because I'll probably want to quickly adjust the intensity at some point, but whatever. The last thing I want to mention is a small gauge on the back that shows the charge level. I've used maybe half a dozen small LEDs like this, so I'm far from being a "mini LED expert" or anything, but only two of the ones I've used had this type of display . I really appreciate it, I think anyone would - who wants to be unexpectedly caught without power? But yeah, thanks for that, that's a nice touch. Oh yeah, and the part that connects to your phone is a little flimsy. I think this is fine for most people for everyday use, but I personally use it with a cold shoe mount or thread it into one of the many holes on my Beastgrip. I am in no way uncomfortable. Overall it's super solid, I'm very surprised. I was skeptical when contacted about this, I don't have high hopes that anyone will be willing to give me a 'free' but I put this thing on my little phone holder and didn't take it off. It's bright, it has long battery life, it really ups my selfie game and I'm already a big fan of it. I recommend taking it!
