We have a 2000 gallon carp pond and as an engineer I have been building custom filter housings, all manifolds and valves for several years. This filter media handles 90% of all algae filters and Blue Aqua-Flo is also used to capture materials such as leaves and the like. Finally, my third filter stage beats away the smallest dirt. This final layer of cotton seldom needs cleaning as it captures almost all of the fish and algae biowaste on its own.
