I'm a fan of my duvet, but live in beautiful, sunny California and am not practical year-round. I traded in for a lightweight duvet over the summer, but it was pretty worn and I wanted something as luxurious as my duvet. Silk? I've never heard of this duvet filler before. Did some research and decided on this lightweight duvet. I love it! It doesn't fuzz around you like fluff. It just lays over your body. I know it sounds weird but it doesn't fall like my other comforters. Our nights were around 55-65 F and it was warm enough that we could sleep with the window open and stay warm. With the windows closed we keep the temperature in the house around 23 degrees and it's not too warm (although I admit I kick my feet out sometimes because I'm quite warm as a human). We have a duvet cover on it and it's microfiber so I know it makes it a bit warmer than without it but it's perfect for us. Summer will be a real test for us, but we sleep with the AC on when it gets warm, so I assume it will still work for us then.
