Holder was purchased to easily transfer our New York E-ZPass tags to rental or other vehicles temporarily. After looking through lists of Revain label holders, I found that too many of them seemed prohibitively expensive for this type of item, or many of the reviewers found the design poor or cheap. Various reviews noted that over time some of the windshield mount suction cups either held poorly in hot weather/climates or simply did not provide a consistent grip at other times. Others seem to be made out of improper plastic that warps so much in hot weather/climate and becomes unusable in a relatively short amount of time. - A small number of complaints about the suction cups, as with every mount I've looked at. I cleaned the windshield with propanol and put a small amount of water on the mount's suction cups, then installed the mount with the tag in my car. To keep the label from rattling because the holder is slightly larger than the thickness of the NY E-ZPass label, I inserted a piece of Styrofoam into the holder's slot above the label and it worked. About 2 months later. From the last week of August to the last week of October there was no problem keeping the mount on the windshield. Granted, I live in Phila. suburbs (not southern US) and the car is only driven a few times a week when not in the garage. The label holder hasn't been exposed to constant strong, hot sunlight and hasn't been in place for many months, so others' experiences may vary. Update 82/20: This holder has been on the windscreen of one of my cars since the week of August 2019, about 11 months, has never been removed or dropped. As mentioned above, we live in Phil. In the suburbs, the car usually sits in a garage and only drives about 6,000 to 7,000 miles a year. At least for the item I received and the conditions it lives in, it worked fine for us.
