Fragile, unstable, mouse pad bends after weeks of use

This is an addendum to my original review. After a few months of use, the keyboard stand wears out, wobbles, bends, and attaching the mouse pad requires almost constant tightening and adjusting. It's too weak to use day in and day out. If you put weight on the mouse pad (like your hand), it will flex and move. I'm trying to figure out how to install mouse pad support or switch to something else that can support the weight of my normal sized human hand. In hindsight, this product probably didn't cost $145. With the extra support I had to add and the weak keyboard/mouse pad, it wasn't worth it. I would have chosen a more expensive and more stable model. If you don't use it occasionally, or if you use a laptop that weighs less than 13 pounds without a mouse, go for the more expensive model. If you use it as your desktop keyboard in everyday use, skip it to a standing desk at work. I wanted to try standing at work but didn't want to invest $400-$700 in other setups I've seen. I assumed my monitor would weigh 13 pounds or less, I mistakenly assumed it would be a standard weight. . We have fairly standard sized monitors with stands, not huge by any means. After installing it, I quickly found that my monitor and stand weighed more than the stand could support. My local IT technician was able to easily install an additional support beam that allowed him to work safely with my company's standard monitor with a stand. Aside from the weight limit, it was easy to set up, and the handy numbers on the terminals (degrees and other radians I think) made it easy to set up. I think other reviews have mentioned this but the mouse pad feels small and oddly thin, it works but feels a little flimsy. Compared to other models, the price-performance ratio is good, the only drawbacks were the low weight limit and the mouse pad holder. The manufacturer might want to consider releasing a model with higher weight limits and possibly a larger/sturdier mouse pad.
