I thought it was time to get a new food thermometer as my old one was taking forever to reach the final temp which is not good , when you cook again . This thermometer is pretty fast (maybe not as fast as the more expensive ones, but only a few seconds). The default setting is C, but a quick press of the button changes it to F. I like that it can be attached to the fridge or any metal surface so it's always handy and doesn't get lost in a desk drawer. It turns off automatically, but you can also click to turn it off. A bottle opener is also included if needed.
