I've been using Mediabridge cables for a long time. And no matter how many cables I buy between my first and last Mediabridge cable, I always double check that Mediabridge has the cable I need before I buy anything else. The reason is simple; These are cables built and engineered for multimedia applications, so they're packed with plenty of tried-and-true goodies. They are always of premium quality and built to last; I've never had a Mediabridge cable fail. They are always shielded and always the best value for money. In fact, Mediabridge cables are not only good for the price, they are as good as it gets. I noticed that a lot of people here use them for their printers and the like. Where the quality of these cables shows is in multimedia applications. I bought this cable to upgrade from the cable I used with the FiiO E9 and E17 combo setup. I figured a good cable would make sense since so many DACs/amps use this particular connection and my only regret is that I didn't purchase more Mediabridge cables when purchasing this cable. The difference between the cable I used (a generic printer cable) and this one is immediately apparent. In fact, I thought I broke my FiiO, not because it sounded worse, but because the sound signature changed a bit. The old cables made the E9/E17 combo warmer and duller (a bit); The MB cables immediately sounded brighter and I could tell there were bugs in the FLAC files that I had never discovered before. Don't get me wrong, the changes weren't huge, but the flaws were more obvious and the sound was a bit brighter, as one would expect from cables with better conductivity. Overall I am happy with my cable as I have always been with the MB cable.
