I bought this monitor from Dell in November when it first came out. Image quality wasn't as good as my slightly older 27-inch LG monitor. It was a bit more matte than I would have liked and even where it's linked to another Dell you need a Dell computer for that. My old LG is much more like my Macbook Pro in terms of screen quality. I installed it on a monitor arm that I hold fairly tightly. I lifted the monitor up a bit and put my thumbs on the screen. Obviously I applied too much pressure (it wasn't much I know because it didn't happen on the other side) and a huge crack spread across the screen. I know it's my fault and I understand. However, you should know that I called Dell and they immediately told me they don't offer screen repairs for monitors and that I need to buy another one.
