amazing amazing amazing first let me say if you break a bone see a doctor. However, due to my schedule, I had trouble seeing a doctor right away. I have worn this bandage actively. I only took them off to wash my hands and take a shower. Three weeks after the second X-ray, my doctor said a cast was not necessary. However, he recommended wearing the orthosis for another two weeks. My fifth metacarpal is healing well. A very happy customer. Btw they didn't see the brakes at first which is why I bought this part, something in my gut said it was broken.
