Review on Wireless Controller 2.4G for Sony Playstation 2 PS2 (Pink+Green) - Ultimate Gaming Convenience! by Marcia Estrella

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for the price

This would have been a 5 star rating if it weren't for two criticisms. First, there are inaccuracies in the images/product descriptions. The buttons on the bezel (Square, X, Circle, Triangle) have a different image than shown in the picture and the description says they include 4 thumb covers when I only received 2. They are very insignificant and I personally don't care about them, but they are also not very good and can be important to someone. Second, the L2 and R2 buttons are INCREDIBLY loud and usually awful. All other keys are good enough or even comfortable considering the price, but these two are the worst combination of uneven feedback and an absurdly loud click. They are also incredibly loose compared to all other buttons. L1 and R1 have some similar issues, but due to their smaller size and quieter click, I find them tolerable. I also have a noise with my right thumb that my left doesn't have. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by this controller. It worked great right out of the box and felt better in hand than I expected from glossy plastic. It's still glossy and plasticky, but the controller's body is surprisingly solid - it doesn't creak, crunch, or make any other unpleasant noises, even when intentionally stressed under reasonable gaming conditions. Of course, don't drop this thing and stomp on it if you want it to last a while. If anything changes drastically anytime soon with this controller I'll come back and update this review with what happened! Update 2/14: We had issues with the D-Pad buttons jumping randomly in the menu. Removing the batteries from the controller, disconnecting and reconnecting the receiver seems to have fixed the issue for now. So give it a try if you encounter any problems!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
