Easy to install but as others have said the screws provided are too long and not suitable for most applications. $7 and a trip to the hardware store and they install in minutes. I call that a necessary luxury. They pull back pretty well almost every time, but you need to add a little tension to get it right. I've only used them about 12-13 times but I'm satisfied. I would give them 5 stars but for the bolt installation. I sprayed the spindles with rust preventative and lube spray before using them as added insurance against recalls mentioning clogging or rusting. So far I've only used them in freshwater and they seem fine.
