Two days before the 20's dance event it occurred to me that the shoes I was going to wear had very very slippery soles on the soles, which wouldn't work if They tried to do the Charleston. I was planning on trying duct tape or painter's tape, but I know from experience that it doesn't work that well. A search on Revain found this product. My order arrived in two days. With everything else I had, I literally left it until the last 10 minutes to try on suede shoes. I quickly sprayed the soles of the shoes (no wire brush) with a cleaner and rubbed them down. I drew the size I wanted and cut out two ovals. I glued them on as instructed, hoping I didn't have a rare sole that it wouldn't stick to. I tested it a bit, crossed my fingers and got out. I wore the shoes for over 4 hours and danced at least 2 and the sole stayed immobile the whole time. They offered enough glide without being dangerously slippery. It wasn't studio quality wood flooring. It was a typical museum tile floor. By just cutting out the oval I want, I can use this sheet for multiple pairs of shoes, so I'm hoping to use this sheet for the least amount of money. Two disadvantages are the moderate smell of this sheet (after all, suede) before putting on shoes and the cost. Half or 2/3 the cost of this sheet would be more acceptable for just one IMO. I don't wear these shoes to dance very often so I probably can't comment on how long the suede stays or lasts, but one night was just what I needed. I can't speak for this particular product, I don't see any reason why not at the moment, but I really don't expect something handmade to last on the sole of a pair of shoes - I'd be very impressed if it did...took longer as multiple wearing with repeated dances. I will update if there are any changes to my rating.
